Water Decaf Arabica Roasted Coffee Beans
A honey-sweet flavour, with hints of cocoa. Organic, and free from the ‘off’ flavours that often characterise commercial decaffeinated coffee.
The water decaffeination process avoids the use of chemical solvents. It is one of the best methods used in the high-quality decaffeinated coffee industry. To remove the caffeine, the raw coffee is subjected to steam baths, followed with water washes [saturated with solid green coffee components, eliminating caffeine]. The beans are then filtered over a bed of carbon and thoroughly dried in an oven.
