Wild Lampascioni Onions in Olive Oil
Similar to onions, lampascioni are one of the oldest and most characteristic vegetables of Southern Italy, they grow spontaneously in the Apulian Le Murge area. They are wild bulbs that stimulate the appetite and benefit the intestine by activating the body’s gastric functions.
Versatile, sophisticated, and characterized by a fine flavour, they are ideal for aperitivo time along with the traditional taralli pugliesi, a lovely match to grilled meats, and an excellent addition for flavour-packed omelettes.
