Lenticchia di Castelluccio di Norcia

The famed lentils grown in the high plains of Castelluccio di Norcia, located between the regions of the Marche and Umbria. The climate and soil makes this particular lentil quite different to other varieties. The thin skin and soft consistency allows them to be cooked without any pre-soaking required. Lentils of Castelluccio received the IGP recognition in 1997.
